Chelsea is a Southern author and Chattanooga, Tennessee content creator embodying the Appalachian lifestyle of her dreams. In 2022, Chelsea decided to make the life-changing decision to take a chance on herself. With her family in tow, she packed their bags for Chattanooga, Tennessee and founded her own company, Chelsea Chatts. Now, Chelsea stays busy creating the lifestyle she has always dreamed of—a life of creativity, flexibility, and adventure.
In 2024, Chelsea debuted the first edition of her Southern poetry book, Mud Water Will Rise. With a four-part poetry collection in progress, the second book in her poetry collection, Salt Air to Mud Water, will launch Spring 2025. Not only has Chelsea stepped into her era as an author, but she’s also leveraging her 10+ years of experience in Human Resources & Marketing to step into her career as Co-founder & Chief People Officer of Tempest Press.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Chelsea earned her degree in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. While the coast of California will always have a special place in her heart, Chelsea now calls Chattanooga, TN home. In between keyboard strokes, Chelsea lives the elevated Appalachia life with her husband, daughter, and their husky. And what could be better than that? 🙂
